Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. periodically
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to use both arms and hands
  • Ability to bend and stoop frequently

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred.
  • Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Complete general safety training to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Attend ISO training to understand and comply with industry standards.
  • Complete forklift safety training to operate machinery safely.
  • Operate packaging equipment, including hand banders, skid compressors, and inkjet printers.
  • Familiarize yourself with packaging specifications and know where to access relevant information.
  • Identify and separate defective coils through visual inspection and quality testing, reporting issues to the crew leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Start and stop production lines as needed, responding swiftly to line stoppages and assisting in troubleshooting to restore operations, including resetting equipment faults.
  • Operate the label printer and replace media as necessary for optimal function.
  • Keep an organized inventory of production supplies and promptly report any shortages to the crew leader.
  • Ensure a supply of properly labeled skids is maintained.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned
