Requirements

  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Ability to read and understand work orders
  • Ability to identify quality issues
  • Must have MasterPak knowledge
  • Must be a good leader that can run the department, reporting to the area Supervisor
  • Must have the ability to instill a sense of urgency in the department to reach production goals while maintaining positive morale
  • Must be familiar with customer expectations of quality and delivery
  • Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
  • Able to read a measuring tape
  • Microsoft Outlook experience
  • Lift to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in a manufacturing setting
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Make decisions with limited information
  • Ask questions and seek leadership if they don’t know something
  • Understand the job requirements for all positions within their area of responsibility
  • Hold employees in their area accountable for meeting production goals
  • Lead by example: safe, punctual, drive for good quality, on time delivery and communication with all employees
  • Deliver daily toolbox talks
  • Effectively mentor, coach and guide employees in their area
  • Effectively communicate with other leads, on both shifts, and recommend/drive corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement efforts
  • Support their supervisor when disciplinary actions are conducted
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
