The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily activities of the production personnel and their respective functions and responsibilities under the direction of the Manager of Additive Metals. JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Production Supervisor is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities: Manage, supervise, and direct shop personnel in day-to-day activities relating to productivity, schedule, attendance, punctuality, quality, and overall attitude. Instruct and train employees or arrange training on various kinds of additive machines and post processing equipment. Maintain productivity: determine cause of issues/problems and assist and motivate employees when necessary to meet productivity goals. Provide coaching and, when needed, disciplinary action for production personnel. Work with various computer-driven reports to manage capacity and delivery of production goals. Ensure all operations and signoffs are complete, including Work/Transfer Orders in and out of the Production Shop and that all Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) are entered in a timely manner. Assist with development and implementation of process improvements and cost reduction projects. Update the Production Report, prepare for and host the daily Production Meetings, and report on the status (on-schedule, behind schedule, etc.) of all WOs for additive metals. Coordinate/perform/assist in periodic inventory cycle counts as required. Create/revise procedures and processes as needed. Perform other functions and responsibilities as needed such as finishing or machine operator. Always perform job tasks in a safe manner while adhering to the Company safety policies and enforcing safety requirements for other personnel. Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain required attendance and punctuality as scheduled to meet production goals. Manage a clean and productive work area and enforce cleaning requirements for other personnel. Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The Production Supervisor must at a minimum possess the following: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED. One plus year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred. Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressure, and fast-paced environment. Ability to comprehend production requirements. Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language fluently. Basic computer literacy skills. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little or no supervision. Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively execute multiple competing projects at one time. Cognitive skills include the ability to learn, to process thoughts and apply knowledge, to analyze and reason, and to evaluate and make appropriate decisions to achieve business goals and solve problems. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Production Supervisor must be able to: Lift a minimum of 50lbs, repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance. Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment. Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.). Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
