About The Position

As the Production Supervisor you would oversee all manufacturing and/or assembly for department, timekeeping responsibilities, scheduling (people and production needs); overseeing people assigned to department. Shift: 1st Shift 6:00am - 2:00pm (Hours will vary with overtime) In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates. Organizes workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Monitors employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching. Receives complaints and resolves problems. Maintains timekeeping and personnel records. Passes on information from upper management to employees and vice versa. Prepares and submits performance reports. Decides on reward and promotion based on performance. Hires and trains new employees. Ensures adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertakes disciplinary actions if the need arises. May operate equipment and/or fork lifts. Directly supervises assigned employees within the department(s). Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required; Manufacturing Software; Payroll Systems; and Inventory Software.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $63,000 - $80,000.
