About The Position

As a Production Supervisor, 3rd Shift, you will oversee daily activities of the production area to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. You will ensure safe production of material that meets customer and quality system requirements, staff follow safe work practices, engage across technical, production and non-technical personnel, and coordinate staffing levels for efficient production sequences. The role is located at the PPG plant in Springdale, PA, and involves a 3rd shift schedule with weekend rotation. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years of production/manufacturing experience required
• Ability to oversee a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of experience of a leadership/supervisory responsibility preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of production area to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved
• Ensure safe production of material that meets customer and quality system requirements
• Ensure staff follow safe work practices
• Engage across technical, production and non-technical personnel
• Coordinate staffing levels to support efficient production sequences
• Responsible for process safety management systems and safe operation of equipment
• Directly accountable for personnel safety, quality, scheduling, and customer service issues related to production
• Perform administrative tasks such as daily timekeeping and production records, log maintenance and printing labels
• Lead all aspects to improve plant measurements and manufacturing operational metrics
• Be a technical resource to production personnel in troubleshooting, problem resolution and process improvement
