About The Position

This position involves supervising a production shift and coordinating all activities related to document scanning services for paper-to-digital conversion projects. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality control of assigned work, managing production schedules and deadlines, and optimizing labor utilization for efficiency. The role also includes participating in monthly profitability reviews to adjust operations as needed to maximize profits for the AIM Operation. Key aspects include planning and directing production, establishing quality standards, analyzing reports for nonconformity, revising schedules due to operational issues, coordinating shift transitions, estimating worker hour requirements, and monitoring inventory. The supervisor will also manage 2 to 15 employees, including temporary staff, handling training, performance appraisal, assigning work, and resolving issues, all while enforcing company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • 1 + year related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business guidelines and technical procedures.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Working knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Follow directions from AIM Center manager, plan and direct production activities and establish priorities for customer project in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Confer with management to establish production and quality control standards and procedures.
  • Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
  • Revise production schedules and clarify priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Coordinate shift transition with the night Manager and assigned departments.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Monitor records and report inventory.
  • Supervise 2 to 15 employees and temporary/contractual staff within their assigned responsibilities.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
