POSITION SUMMARY Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Pro Plan®, Friskies®, and Nestlé Purina Veterinary Diets®. We also proudly do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives. As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead by example as you foster and engage in a culture of standards that promotes the highest level of safety and quality throughout our processes. Coach and develop a team of technicians who will work across functions to ensure top-notch equipment performance throughout the operation day. Oversee your team's career development as you help them achieve performance goals in their area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment
  • 1+ years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure development of team through progression plan adherence.
  • Oversee performance of team including coaching, issuing corrective actions, issuing recognition, recommending promotions, and monitoring full associate life cycle.
  • Coach and develop staff on continuous improvement efforts, TPM, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with cross functional factory leadership team to ensure end-to-end performance success.
  • Utilize problem-solving and tools available to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Lead projects focused on performance improvement, factory goals, and personal development including sponsorship of continuous improvement efforts within the facility.
  • Deliver key performance indicators within assigned area of responsibility in the factory including operational efficiency, downtime, and staffing utilization.
