About The Position

Assist with plant production and material movements in a safe manner. Duties and responsibilities include safety compliance, management of the yard, and planning the flow and use of materials and human resources.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one year of Supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant activities.
  • Ensure production goals are met to include downtime, productivity and lead time.
  • Lead and develop employees under their supervision.
  • Conduct performance reviews for hourly team members as required.
  • Manage team member attendance and schedules to ensure full production..
  • Recognize and quickly correct any quality issues.
  • Monitor and enforce company policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Coordinate the movement of products through all warehouse locations.
  • Address all worker problems, complaints, or grievances and elevate as required.
  • Assist in hiring and terminating production personnel.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations and work safety procedures to new employees, and/or assign experienced employees to train new workers.
  • Be able to perform/train new employees effectively
  • Maintain yard layout and general housekeeping.
  • Assist with measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment, performance, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Assist as needed for all physical inventory counts.
  • Other duties as assigned
