Requirements

  • Internal Applicants must meet the following: Held LV 4 or LV 5 role in operations, high school diploma/GED, 2 years related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in food science, business management, animal science, engineering or related field OR Associate's degree in related field plus 1 year’s related experience.
  • Active/past member of department safety team
  • Experience as an On the Job Trainer
  • In good standing regarding performance and attendance
  • University Applicants must meet the following: Bachelor’s degree at program entrance in food science, business management, animal science, engineering or related field
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
  • Able to demonstrate development of leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Internal applicants: level 5 role in operations with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • University Applicants: minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Has completed/in the process of completing HCC Level 1 Leadership training

Responsibilities

  • Leading or participating in continuous improvement projects in an operations environment, having interaction with finance, maintenance and reliability, manufacturing technology, engineering, safety and quality.
  • Participating actively in the safety and food safety in our operations.
  • Learning on the job with experts, developing technical and soft skills and receiving coaching from your manager and peers.
  • Participating in structured learning (digital and instructor led) to develop your technical, professional and leadership skills with peers.
  • Develop technical skills while training on the process equipment.
