About The Position

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. Site Overview: The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT Nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You’ll find state of the art technologies in CNC, EDM, and Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab. Role Overview: As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will oversee and manage front-line manufacturing employees, typically managing hourly employee populations. This position is primarily on-site. You will develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and use your prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy and strategy. Understand key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish work Integrate the work of your team with other teams and contribute to the area Use judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters with guidance Solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training Access technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems Provide informal guidance to new team members The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to hire and develop talent. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Operations/Supply Chain Management)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
