Basic Job Functions: The Production Crew Supervisor is primarily responsible for supporting and leading our production crew, including directing, planning, organizing and executing the work activities of the production team. They must drive Nucor’s safety culture and be willing to take responsibility for self and others by setting an example for others to follow. The person in this role must also motivate and lead others to accomplish efficient operations of the shift and achieve departmental and division goals focusing on continuous improvements. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coaching, developing and leading teammates to achieve shared goals and maximize performance Leading production processes to achieve high value results through low cost, high quality, and efficient operations Leading the team in prioritizing and maximizing uptime and operational efficiency This role will require working rotating shifts and overtime. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing environments
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • Microsoft Office experience

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Maintenance
  • Experience in welding and/or fabrication equipment
