About The Position

Responsible for supporting and fostering the safety culture, safety first mindset Assess facility goals and expectations against performance standards and develop corrective action plans to close gaps Manage leading indicator efforts including safe work observation process, 5S, hazard recognition and controls Hold employees accountable prior to incident, and if an incident occurs for failure to follow safety policies. Supervise employees in the daily production, to include hands-on training, planning, assigning, and directing work Evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; and resolving conflicts. Lead and motivate employees; by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively. Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: hourly employees, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel, and outside customers and vendors. Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization. Work with minimum Supervision, delegate, evaluate challenges to seek out support when needed. Maintains necessary documentation, reports, time approvals for direct reports. Performs random inspections of all quality and safety policies and procedures. Identify the gaps that need addressed to ensure our systems are effective. Ensure employees complete appropriate paperwork to include all downtime, runtime and setup times, documentation for production and quality purposes. Audit Reporting systems to ensure the employees have correct data entered for any analysis that may be performed for production and waste accountability. Monitor raw materials to ensure the proper raw materials are being used per customer specs, if a substitution is required, complete approval documentation before converting specs Physical requirements include continuously seeing, standing, walking, talking, hearing/listening, and frequently lifting up to 50lbs. Any other duties assigned by the Management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ Supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Presentation and delivery skills
