About The Position

Production Scheduling and Delivery Associate Beaver Springs, PA Remmey – The Pallet Company is the premiere new pallet manufacturer in the Mid-Atlantic region. With three manufacturing facilities consisting of 50 acres covering 100,000 square feet in Beaver Springs, PA (Central PA) and Lehighton, PA (Northeastern PA) Remmey is logistically well positioned to serve customers throughout the Northeast United States. In the 60 years since inception the company has grown to over 150 employees, producing over 2.8 million pallets a year. The company continues to grow and is looking for top tier talent to join the Remmey team. Overview: The primary responsibility of the production scheduler is determining daily, weekly, or monthly production activities based on a variety of factors. While developing a schedule, the production scheduler may examine work orders or customer requests, expected delivery dates, plant personnel and equipment capabilities, and inventory availability. The production scheduler then balances these elements to create an actionable and efficient production schedule. They will provide timely and accurate support, communication and data to customers, sales and production teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Possess strategic, logical, and methodical thinking for problem solving, organization, time management, prioritization, and independent decision-making skills, while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Advance skills with word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production and delivery schedules
  • Use workers and resources in the most effective manner
  • Provide quick responses to production issues.
  • Analyze production data for process improvement, supporting manufacturing projects, and managing customer priorities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally to customers and sales regarding order status and confirmation
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy on finished goods and WIP
  • Monitor customer computer systems for daily changes
  • Schedule Pm's and repairs to Trucking Fleet and Trailers
