About The Position

Nisbet Brower is a leading construction supply company providing high-quality building materials, engineered wood products, custom components, and exceptional service to builders and contractors. Our truss and panel manufacturing operations are essential to delivering reliable, on-time solutions to our customers. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to support our manufacturing teams and help maintain our commitment to efficiency and excellence. The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the production schedules for our truss and panel manufacturing operations. This role ensures that customer orders are aligned with plant capacity, materials availability, and production timelines. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing scheduling, production planning, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of construction components—preferably trusses, wall panels, or engineered wood products.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling or ERP software (MiTek, Epicor, or similar preferred).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the building materials or construction supply industry.
  • Knowledge of shop floor operations, load planning, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading or component design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules for trusses and wall panels.
  • Coordinate with sales, design, production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Review incoming orders and job files for completeness, accuracy, and required lead times.
  • Monitor plant capacity, labor availability, and material constraints to adjust schedules as needed.
  • Prioritize production runs based on customer deadlines, truck routes, and workflow efficiency.
  • Communicate schedule changes and updates to supervisors, designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Track job progress and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, or delays.
  • Utilize production software and ERP tools to maintain accurate data and forecasts.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline scheduling processes and enhance workflow.
  • Ensure all scheduling practices support safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
