About The Position

The Production Quality Manager for GE Vernova is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet or exceed applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role oversees production quality processes, leads root-cause investigations, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to optimize product quality and manufacturing reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, production quality, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of QMS requirements and production quality methods.
  • Proven experience with root-cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Proficiency with statistical tools, SPC, and quality data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control.
  • Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes, troubleshooting.
  • Includes conformance in manufacturing, product inspection, witness points, etc.
  • Serves as best practice/quality resource.
  • Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Strong problem solving/ root cause analysis skills with deep expertise leading cross-functional Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance quality, operational performance and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provides data-driven insights to deliver sustainable, scalable improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for nonconformance investigations.
  • Use structured problem-solving tools (8D, A3, Fishbone, 5 Whys, PFMEA) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Track and report production quality metrics, failure trends, and improvement progress.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Support new product introductions (NPIs) by developing quality plans and integrating learnings from prior builds.
  • Work closely with production supervisors, operators, and engineers to ensure alignment on quality expectations and performance.
  • Communicate quality issues, risks, and resolutions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide training and coaching to production teams on quality standards, inspection techniques, and defect prevention.
