Position Summary: This position requires a Production Planner who can exercise decision making skills and time management. This position reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor and supports the company’s production facility with the responsibilities that are included below.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ minimum work experience required in equivalent role in a production environment
  • Availability to work off hours if business need arises
  • Experience working within an ERP system utilizing MRP and building production plans (Deacom experience a plus)
  • Strong computer skills; especially Excel and Smartsheets
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teams
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines
  • Provide solutions to many challenges within an environment that is dynamic and fast paced
  • Good understanding of MRP, optimizing inventory, and production for a process-based manufacturing facility

Responsibilities

  • Schedule production for assigned value chain areas as required to meet customer demand and finished good stocking requirements
  • Manage finished goods inventory efficiently to minimize company costs and meet delivery deadlines
  • Develop and manage production plans to meet the master production schedules
  • Monitor production process; implement process improvements
  • Form action plans to improve production efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Develop a team relationship with production lead and supervisor to ensure alignment and common understanding
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that raw materials and products are delivered on time
  • Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and employee safety programs
  • May perform other duties as assigned
