We are always seeking to hire talented, hard-working, and committed individuals for roles in Operations (CNC Machining, Tool Making, and Fabrication/Assembly), Engineering, Quality and other Support Roles. We are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time in a profitable manner. An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them. They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or Materials required or the equivalence of 5-7 years of experience in Production Planning.
  • Ideal candidate must be detail oriented, have a forward thinking mindset, and possess a strong interest in process improvement.
  • Experience in Materials Planning or Logistics is required.
  • Must have experience working with ERP software, experience in INFOR (Syteline) preferred.
  • Experience in MS Office is a must, preferably with Excel
  • 5-10% Domestic Travel required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production workflow for multiple products
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
  • Schedule shift according to production needs
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
  • Keep paperwork organized
  • Collaborate with quality control, shipping/receiving and other departments.
  • Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description
  • Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance. Job may require more than a 40 hr work week to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and write English.
