About The Position

The Production Planner and Scheduler assures that resources and capacity of the
plant are aligned with demand to support the Doncaster's strategy of 100% on
time delivery. This work includes maintaining accurate standards associated with
material and labor resources, providing readiness analysis for potential
increases and decreases in demand.

This role works closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Sales to assure that
resources are properly aligned and scheduled to match customer requirements.

Requirements

• An ambitious individual who has a proven track record in Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) castings experience in a Turbine Aerofoils industry.
• Ideally you will have a working knowledge of materials science, mechanical, or industrial engineering along with specific investment casting experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and managing use of the MRP system as the site super user.
• Scheduling, releasing and maintaining manufacturing work orders.
• Monitoring material alignment to work order release dates.
• Ensuring that all plant operations are scheduled and that these sources are given adequate material and lead-time to meet our delivery requirements.
• Communicating priorities and support other roles in production planning (Shipping, Purchasing, and Subcontract management).
• Identifying, resolving and escalating bottlenecks. Requires communication with other functional groups and buyers.
