About The Position

Schedule, monitor and adjust the production schedule. Use Microsoft Dynamics to perform inventory analysis, work order releases through MRP, and ensure manufactured items are set-up properly. Schedule and prioritize production to ensure timely completion with all phases of the process including stockroom, assembly, inspection, test and shipping department. Reviews and approves quote requests from marketing to provide availability.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years in inventory management in production environment.
• APICS Certification desired.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or other standard MRP systems.
• Previous experience as a production planner in both a make-to-order and make-to-stock business.
• System and computer skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and schedules
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task

• APICS Certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Approve IMDEF Forms.
• Track and report progress of assigned subassemblies and assemblies.
• Ensures that the Work-in-Process inventory records are accurate through adherence to established procedures for work order issuance, miscellaneous receipts and issues, and for work order closure.
• Responsible for the implementation of subassembly and assembly schedules which are consistent with and allow achievement of the Master Schedule.
• Communicates schedule requirements to the production floor and to other production support departments.
• Participates in Quality and Continuous improvement processes.
• Review and approve sales quotes to ensure part accuracy and product availability.
• Effectively manage rapidly changing production schedules, demonstrating the ability to pivot quickly as customer requirements shift.
