About The Position

The Production Manager oversees and manages all activities within our production environment related to manufacturing, mechanical and electronic assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehousing. This includes day-to-day operational commitments covering facilities management, resource planning and production execution.

Requirements

5+ years of production management and scheduling
Ability to handle multiple priorities and issues in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Proficient in Lean Principles: Problem Solving, Flow, Standard Work, Kanban
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
ISO and Total Quality management experience
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.

Responsibilities

Supervises, directs, and coordinates personnel activities concerned with production. This would involve but not be limited to knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, standards, and facilities and resource capabilities.
Manage daily production activities for the manufacturing (casting, machining, paint, trim) mechanical and electronic assembly departments as well as the warehousing, shipping, and receiving functions.
Execute the production schedule and assign tasks to available resources.
Follow-up on activities and current projects and update other departments daily.
Manage the production supervisors and employees, including performance management, health and safety, timesheet review and approval, etc.
Full accountability and ownership of your team’s development, projects follow-up, execution of projects ensuring S&G’s safety and quality standards are met.
Develop and communicate needs for staffing labor plan adjustments to meet production targets.
Develop and manage production floor layouts for incoming orders.
Ensure production floor areas are kept clean, organized, and free of potential hazards.
Other duties as assigned.
