About The Position

A well-established Grower/Shipper/Packer is searching for a Production Manager to join their team in Florida. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the efficient performance of up to 70 employees. Responsible for monitoring and tracking quality of each employee’s performance and collaborates with HR for corrective action or performance related issues. 75% of the Production Manager’s time will be spent on the production floor. Maintains a clean production environment ensuring GMPs and SOPs are followed at all times. Responsible for ensuring food safety, employee safety and product quality are in place, line efficiency, waste, downtime, and labor are to company standards. Assists machine operators and other key positions during start up and changeovers. starts and sets all processing equipment prior to start time. Performs Operations Checklist hourly. Completes daily Production Reports and other reports as directed by Plant Manager. Must be able to communicate and work effectively with supporting departments to achieve goals and sustain the level of food safety and product quality per our clients’ standards. A positive attitude, willingness and initiative to get the job done and motivate subordinates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with basic math skills.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ Food Processing/Manufacturing Management experience preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Required
  • Should have basic knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • College degree preferred.
  • HACCP/OSHA
