If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Production Manager to join our team located at our facility in Appleton, WI. The Production Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost targets are met. This role provides leadership to department managers, supervisors, and hourly teams while driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment. The Production Manager partners closely with Plant Leadership, Quality, Maintenance, CI, HR, and Supply Chain to execute production plans and improve overall plant performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in a high volume environment.
  • Proven experience leading leaders (supervisors/managers).
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to make data driven decisions and lead through change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a strong safety culture through visible floor presence, GEMBA walks, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Own corrective actions for incidents, near misses, and audit findings.
  • Reinforce standard work, safe behaviors, and accountability at all levels.
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly production targets across assigned departments and shifts.
  • Balance labor, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand and service requirements.
  • Monitor performance metrics including output, scrap, downtime, and efficiency.
  • Escalate risks to plan early and drive recovery actions when targets are at risk.
  • Ensure products meet all quality, specification, and customer requirements.
  • Enforce proper use of deviation processes, quality holds, and helpchain escalation.
  • Partner with Quality to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Support audits, PPAPs, trials, and new product introductions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers, supervisors, and salaried staff.
  • Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results and behaviors.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Build a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Champion Lean, Kaizen, and problem solving activities.
  • Identify and eliminate waste, variation, and constraints within production processes.
  • Support trials, equipment upgrades, and process changes.
  • Drive standardization and sustain improvements over time.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, CI, Quality, HR, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and results clearly to plant leadership.
  • Support plant wide initiatives and strategic goals.
