RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal purpose of this position is to manage and maintain a plant and achieve all production, quality, sanitation, people and food safety goals . Oversee and direct all production and sanitation operations 1 st shift oversees all shifts including weekends- must have flexible schedule. Manage, train, and evaluate all designated managers Communicate and coordinate daily activities with cross-functional teams Implement, lead, and help enforce strong and defined safety, quality, and production practices which may include working with suppliers and customers to initiate improvements. Enforce company policies, perform corrective action when necessary and complete employee evaluations Assist and coach the plant personnel in developing and maintaining general requirements Meet all assigned KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) Champion and drive company production systems. Leverage production systems to achieve all KPIs. Exhibit leadership qualities in the company and community prompted through the employee handbook guidelines, management training and direction. Assist in all other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant industry experience. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing plant supervision. A pattern of initiative and leadership. Strong problem-solving, decision making, and project management skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. LOCATION: Sparta, WI At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $76,000 - $109,00 per year , and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
