The Production Leader provides leadership and directly supervises and coordinates the activities of manufacturing production, shipping, and maintenance workers. The Production Leader ensures that work is processed through their department safely, efficiently and within quality standards. Standard hours are Monday-Friday 9:30pm-6:00am with some OT required. In addition to complying with all safety, environmental, quality, and core policies, and contributing to the company’s Zero Harm and Zero Defects commitment, the following briefly describes the 3 to 6 primary activities (not all activities) that are regularly performed. Responsibilities

  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
  • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results
  • Maintain operations data such as productivity and material usage and report result to management.
  • Confer with management and other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Work directly with employees to resolve work related issues, quality issues, productivity issues and conduct training
  • Maintain proper reporting of time and attendance within the timekeeping database
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
  • Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned
