About The Position

The Production lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring that all products are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standard. This role leads a team of production employees, supports continuous improvement, and ensures production targets are met.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Relevant Manufacturing and process, bakery, or food industry. More than one area is preferred
  • Proven experience as Machine Operator Lead.
  • Working Knowledge of machines.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of production leading experience 3 years of machine operation experience

Responsibilities

  • Support a safe work culture and safe work practices.
  • Ensure there is enough material to run the entire shift, and that all materials are recorded. Film Cartons Cases. Etc.
  • Ensure that the right paperwork is printed at the start of the shift. Blending Paperwork Ingredient Lis Blending Times MO barcode Delivery Number Labor Report Form SS Placards when needed Packing Paperwork MO Barcode Delivery number Labor Report Form Packaging Instructions based on Item running Labels for rooms Case Labels Pouch Labels Pallet Labels MO Tracking (Packing / Blending)
  • Report Operations Verify consumption Close MO’s Keep MO file up to date
  • Inventory Management Ensure that the inventory stays accurate Keep FG inventory up to date. Erase any FG that might not exist Return Material that is not needed to the DC Fix any inventory discrepancies Lead Monthly Inventory Trace back specific materials used. Ex. Find all the MO’s were a case or pouch lot code was used.
  • Ensure that materials are being consumed accurately using PowerBi
  • Ensure that DO’s are produced accurately, resolve any issues
  • Support employee training and assist new employees as needed. Teach new room leads material consumption / reporting FG etc using Factory Track Teach new drivers on how to use Factory Track
  • Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
