About The Position

We are looking for a Production Lead who will contribute to the success of the Operations team, applying their expertise in assembly, testing, and calibration of electronic, mechanical, and optical sub-assemblies and equipment to support the achievement of team and company goals and deliver innovative, reliable solutions. This role helps align priorities and processes, provides guidance, and fosters an environment where team members can thrive and contribute at their best. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills; build collaborative relationships; and maintain a commitment to professional excellence, quality and continuous improvement. The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating daily work assignments, supporting safety, quality and throughput goals, and ensuring adherence to documented processes and operational controls. This role acts as a working leader, contributing directly to production while guiding team performance, communicating priorities, and resolving issues that impact delivery or product quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of related manufacturing experience required
  • Experience supporting production across multiple lines or product families, with the ability to quickly adapt to assigned operations
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods
  • Ability to interpret work instructions, quality data, and production schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focus, maintaining strong commitment to meeting internal and external customer expectations
  • Ability to learn and use company systems and standard computer programs

  • Prior leadership or team coordination experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Production Supervisor, leading day-to-day production activities for assigned cells or lines to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Serves as primary point of contact when Production Supervisor is unavailable
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and work assignments clearly to team members
  • Monitor workflow and respond quickly to production constraints, quality concerns, or delivery risks
  • Perform production, assembly, or technical tasks as needed to maintain flow and resolve issues
  • Observe team performance, identify gaps and provide real-time feedback and coaching
  • Support training, cross-training, standard work adherence, and knowledge transfer
  • Communicate quality data, metrics, and issues within the team and to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement, Lean/SBS processes, and visual management initiatives
  • Promote and maintain a Safety First culture, supporting and enforcing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, ESD requirements, and all applicable safety and operational procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
