About The Position

Lead Operator will ensure all the company's safety, food safety plan and CGMP policies are being followed. The lead will be in constant communication with the Production Supervisor/Manager to ensure all production goals are being met.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate in oral and written formats.
• Must understand the fundamental principles of manufacturing.
• Must possess effective communication skills.
• Required to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Required to stand, sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Close vision acuity capability required for this position. Ability to cross-train personnel to replace position in the event of absence

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees adhere to all the company's safety guidelines.
• Ensure the food safety plan and CGMPs are being followed: report any non-compliance anomalies to the management.
• Must be able to operate all areas in the rendering; Receiving, Cooker, Feather, Grinding Room, Load Out, Yard Dog, Forklift, Skid, Street Sweeper, and Yard Cart.
• Ensure cleanliness of the rendering and offal areas.
• Review food safety documents before final review by PCQI.
• Fill in for all absentees.
• Any other duties as assigned by management.
