About The Position

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Production Supervisor assist with leadership, management, and coordination of available resources to ensure a safe and efficient manufacturing environment through the production output. The role of Production Lead is completed in addition to the team members regular job responsibilities. This role will also be a Press Operator. (see attached job description)

Responsibilities

In the absence of the Production Supervisor, responsible for the daily flow of production.
Ensure that the department team members follow all milkrite | InterPuls policies and procedures.
Assist in mentoring and training needs for current and new team members, new tasks, and/or new equipment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and production team members on a regular basis.
Ensure that a supportive environment is provided and assist with resolving minor grievances.
Communicate/escalate daily information, trends, and concerns through Tier Communication Process (SQUID).
Promote an efficient production environment through continuous improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing principles.
Track and determine labor hours and overtime hours (when necessary) to meet demands of weekly schedule.
Work directly with the Production and Mill supervisors to determine what is required to support the production schedule.
Escalate issues or problems to the supervisor.
Carry out any specific duties assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Leadership team.
