About The Position

The Production Lead plays a key role in supporting daily document scanning and paper‑to‑digital conversion operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role helps coordinate shift activities, maintain quality standards, and ensure production goals and deadlines are met. The Production Lead also contributes to labor efficiency efforts, process improvements, and overall operational success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education a plus.
  • 1+ year of relevant supervisory or production experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and business guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of daily production plans, prioritizing tasks to optimize workflow, cost, and efficiency.
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure adherence to established operating procedures.
  • Review production reports to identify trends, issues, or bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with staffing coordination, including reallocating resources based on workload, equipment status, and operational needs.
  • Help ensure smooth shift transitions and monitor inventory levels to support uninterrupted production
  • Set and communicate daily and weekly goals in alignment with operational priorities.
  • Monitor workflows and adjust staffing, processes, or equipment usage as needed.
  • Drive productivity while ensuring all quality requirements are consistently met.
  • Address operational problems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Use production data and reporting to identify risks, trends, or improvement opportunities.
  • Remove barriers that impact team performance or production flow.
  • Act as a communication bridge between Production Supervisors and frontline team members.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, updates, and procedural changes in a timely manner.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams, including HR, Quality, and Maintenance, to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Evaluate workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with implementing operational best practices.
  • Ensure consistent application of procedures across the team.
  • Oversee and support a team of 50 or more temporary staff.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and leadership to maintain alignment and visibility.
  • Plan staffing schedules, assignments, and resource allocation to meet production demands.
  • Monitor inventory, equipment readiness, and material availability.
  • Anticipate future operational needs and participate in planning activities.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and audit‑ready recordkeeping.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental, operational, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and production records.
  • Implement workflow improvements and quality enhancements.
  • Support the Production Supervisor and uphold company policies and guidelines.
