Overview of the Role: This position calls for a solid understanding of hands-on formulation. In this position you will utilize laboratory equipment to measure, prepare, and mix ingredients, recording all activities as required by the FDA. Maintain a clean work area, adhere to safety and cGMP standards, and collaborate with the production team to ensure timely batch preparation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Must possess a positive attitude and enjoy working with others.
  • Proficient with computer use; familiar with SAP and standard Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to work independently or with a team with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with other team members.
  • Ability to move/lift 50 lbs.
  • Basic math and the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to the food or beverage industry with knowledge of cGMPs desired.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • Formulates liquid and powder media formulas per manufacturing protocols utilizing various weighing equipment such as scales, volumetric measuring tools and various mixers.
  • Maintains all required logs and associated documentation per company and FDA regulations.
  • Performs quality & process checks on all required equipment including scales, brix meters and finished goods.
  • Performs thorough cleaning and sanitation of tools, mixers, machines and work area.
  • Maintain quality control per company and FDA guidelines.
  • Follows all safety procedures and works in a safe manner including wearing all required personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Must possess a positive attitude and enjoy working with others
  • Performs other duties as assigned
