The Manufacturing Production Coordinator organizes, coordinates, and supervises the production process within a manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of finished goods. This role involves scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and communication between various departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment: Experience in a production or manufacturing setting is often preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills: Accuracy and speed are crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are commonly used.
  • Attention to detail: Accurate data entry and record-keeping are essential.
  • Basic understanding of production processes: Knowledge of how production works can be beneficial.
  • Organizational skills: Keeping records and managing data effectively.
  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems: Knowledge of how inventory management systems work is helpful.
  • Must pass periodic blood tests per OSHA requirements where applicable.
  • Must pass brief physical exam & pulmonary function test to determine ability to wear a respirator when required where applicable.
  • Ability to lift material and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Developing and managing production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring availability for production and minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Coordination & Communication: Collaborating with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve issues, communicate changes, and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate production records, preparing reports, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment within the production area.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Training & Supervision: May be involved in training and supervising production staff.
  • Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels and ensuring materials are available for production.
