About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations. This hands-on role performs production activities while assisting with the coordination of workflows to ensure products are manufactured according to established quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements. The Production Coordinator works closely with Production Specialists, Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality personnel to support line setup, production documentation, material coordination, and efficient workflow across the manufacturing floor. This role also serves as a knowledgeable resource to team members by reinforcing procedures, supporting training efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance. Requirements

  • Proven ability to support production operations in a manufacturing environment

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and support production schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when completing production documentation
  • Familiarity with quality systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manufacturing documentation practices
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows
  • Basic understanding of operational metrics related to productivity, quality, safety, attendance, and scrap
  • Ability to perform hands-on manufacturing activities while supporting team workflow
  • Ability to assist with training team members and reinforce adherence to procedures
  • Ability to identify and communicate production or quality issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to support operational goals
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical training in manufacturing or a related field is a strong plus
  • Experience serving as a team leader, trainer, or subject matter resource on the production floor is preferred
  • Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on manufacturing activities in support of production schedules and operational needs
  • Assist with production line setup, equipment preparation, and changeovers in coordination with Production Specialists or Production Supervisors
  • Support daily production activities to help ensure quality and delivery objectives are achieved
  • Perform line clearance activities and verify required documentation is completed accurately
  • Review and submit Lot History Records associated with products built for production
  • Gather and distribute materials, tools, and labels to maintain efficient workflow in assigned production areas
  • Ensure good manufacturing practices are maintained within the production environment
  • Support ERP/MRP reporting and assist with data collection supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to manufacturing team members on production processes and procedures
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new personnel according to the training matrix and established procedures
  • Help communicate daily production priorities and assignments as directed by Production Specialists or Production Supervisors
  • Provide feedback to leadership regarding training needs, workflow challenges, and improvement opportunities
  • Assist with tracking and verifying personnel time entries as requested
  • Follow all Quality System requirements and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support compliance with internal procedures and production standards
  • Assist with investigation activities related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety requirements and promote safe work practices within the production area
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and delivery performance
  • Assist in gathering operational data and preparing KPI metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and scrap
  • Support leadership in the implementation of Lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvements
  • Perform additional production or operational support tasks as assigned
