ERG is seeking a Production Controller (Planner/Scheduler) to provide on-site technical planning and scheduling support for maintenance and repair efforts at the Navy’s leading facility for ordnance, energetics, and explosive ordnance disposal solutions. The qualified individual must be motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position will be full time at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head and will include interaction with and support from ERG personnel at the facility, as well as from ERG’s offices in Fairfax and Arlington, Virginia. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C.; 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia; and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia. Alternative work schedules may be considered.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant experience supporting facilities renovation and infrastructure projects
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work after hours and on weekends as needed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • This position will require a pre-employment physical exam
  • This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)
  • You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
  • Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs, where applicable
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with technical department schedulers to plan for routine facility maintenance repair efforts to coincide with downtimes
  • Develop and maintain facility maintenance schedules using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or Primavera
  • Review upcoming maintenance work crew schedules to confirm plans and resource allocations are appropriate
  • Schedule and lead maintenance planning meetings
  • Resolve schedule conflicts and communicate changes
  • Track maintenance activities to completion and update the schedule accordingly
