About The Position

The Production Control Specialist is responsible for the Production planning and
Production status management activities at Aisin Texas Corporation.

Requirements

• Good level of knowledge in lean production concepts such as OEE, KANBAN, FIFO, BOM.
• Experienced in operation Time Study.
• Must be capable of flexibly responding to any changes in the company’s direction.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree desirable.
• 3 years or more experience in Production Planning/Management, Sales or Procurement.
• Able to travel to other Aisin locations for extended business and training (up to 1 month).
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as directed.
• Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.
• Experience in Japanese companies.
• Experience in an International/Foreign global company.
• Familiar with Automotive standards/tools (ISO/IATF, Control Plan and APQP).
• Familiar with problem solving, waste/loss prevention methods and setup time improvement (e.g. SMED).
• Familiar with customs clearance.
• Familiar with Microsoft office products.

Responsibilities

• Execution of the production planning and final product inventory activities.
• Execution of Parts and Materials arrangement planning and parts inventory plans to avoid shortages or excess build.
• Communicate with external and internal suppliers.
• Keeps inventory of part number containers assuring flow to suppliers to maintain production based on Aisin’s demand.
• Performs and/or assists cycle counts to keep adequate inventory accuracy.
• Able to perform inventory what-if analysis
• Promoting new project preparation activities.
• Able to create strategies that effectively utilize lean business resources and achieve company objectives.
• Able to communicate and present these strategies to leaders inside and outside the company.
• Able to develop and maintain good project management plans.
• Able to report progress on a timely manner and determine next steps action plans.
