About The Position
OFC Creations is seeking dependable and flexible Production Assistants to support live theater productions, events, and daily operations. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals interested in theater production, technical theater, or live events who are comfortable with physical work, collaborative environments, and changing schedules. Production Assistants play a key role in ensuring productions run smoothly-from backstage and technical support to front-of-house operations-while helping create a welcoming, professional experience for artists, students, and audiences.
Requirements
- Interest or experience in theater, technical production, or live events
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving scenery
- Comfortable working on ladders and in backstage environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Availability for daytime shifts, evenings, and weekends
Responsibilities
- Assist with moving set pieces in and out of performance spaces
- Support show load-ins, strikes, and changeovers
- Hang and remove curtains, backdrops, and scenic elements
- Serve as run crew, backstage crew, or spotlight operator
- Assist with basic lighting and sound operations
- Support scenic setup, painting, and stage preparation
- Staff box office, house management, or building services shifts
- Greet patrons and provide professional customer service
- Support performances, festivals, and off-site events
- Organize props, costumes, and storage areas
- Assist with basic office tasks and communications
- Answer phones and assist patrons with ticketing questions
- Pick up and return production materials as needed
