About The Position

The Production Assistant — Lamination Emphasis provides support across production operations with a primary focus on lamination. This role assists with setting up and supporting lamination processes, handling materials, inspecting parts for quality, and performing general production tasks. The position may be assigned to other departments as business needs change, but will be primarily utilized in Lamination.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and use a ruler for precise measurements.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Basic reading and math skills required for material calculations.
  • Initiative and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production teams.
  • Ability to understand and exceed customer expectations regarding product quality.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, job specifications, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to identify and resolve material or equipment-related issues efficiently.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate lamination equipment.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This is a full time, Monday - Friday position with general working hours 7:00am to 3:30pm and overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three months of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on training.
  • Experience in printing, lamination, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Must have good judgment of color, design, and print quality.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow work order instructions, job bags, and quality standards.
  • Assist with lamination processes including hand application of adhesives and guiding materials.
  • Support operation of lamination-related equipment such as back splitters, corner rounders, and grommet machines.
  • Cut and prepare raw materials to required measurements.
  • Inspect overlays, windows, and assembled parts for clarity, accuracy, alignment, and finish.
  • Waste strip, de-slug, and package parts according to specifications.
  • Report discrepancies, imperfections, or material issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain daily production records and inventory tags when assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all plant safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support production goals.
