About The Position

Printpack is seeking a candidate for the Laser Laminator Assistant role. This position supports the operation of Laser Adhesive Laminators to produce high-quality laminated and/or perforated products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role reports to the Press Supervisor. Shift Hours: 3PM to 11PM An additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium. Key Responsibilities Assist in the safe operation and setup of Laser Adhesive Laminators Follow all safety policies and actively support a safe work environment Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and support teams Communicate production or equipment issues promptly Learn and apply job specifications, quality standards, and technical documentation Monitor equipment and processes to ensure product quality Support continuous improvement initiatives Assist with other machines as operational needs require Meet performance expectations for productivity, waste, quality, safety, and attendance Machine & Process Support Adhesive lamination, anti-fog coating, cold seal, OPV Outboard and inline laser perforation (16-head systems) High OTR structures, including fresh produce applications Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required Stable work history Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical) Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass pre-employment assessments
  • Drug screening required
  • Background check required
  • Stable work history
  • Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)
  • Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Capability to lift and move up to 65 pounds
  • Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat
  • Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills
  • Ability to climb ladders safely
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and motorized pallet jack certification

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or printing experience preferred
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus
  • Willingness to learn advanced laminating and laser processes
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts preferred
