About The Position

The Laminator operator produces all products to defined quality levels, yield and standard. It is the responsibility of the laminator operator to understand all production criteria for all products that are applicable to the laminator operator tasks.

Requirements

Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
Ability to effectively work in teams
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in English, and Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor machine to produce corrugated products and record operational data
Review work orders or production schedules to determine: Specifications such as material to be used.
Selecting and install machine components
Start machine to verify setups, and make any necessary adjustments
Start machine and move controls to regulate tension on pressure rolls, to synchronize speed of machine component
Examine completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to specifications, using measuring evices such as rulers, micrometers, and adjust machinery as necessary to correct production problems
Remove defective or substandard materials from machines, and readjust machine components so that products meet standards
Follow designated quality escalation process
Utilize computer to input production data as required
Maintain production records, such as quantities, downtime and production issues
Move stock or scrap to and from machines manually, or by using carts, hand trucks, or lift trucks
Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machines as required
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
