About The Position

SUMMER 2026 Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter. The Product Security Intern will assist the Shure Product Security team with performing security assessment activities on embedded hardware, desktop software and cloud applications. This activity will include running active penetration test activity, performing compliance activities, executing pen and paper exercises (e.g. threat modeling) and helping to draft security architecture and policy. This Internship can be Onsite or Hybrid, based in our Niles, IL location.

Requirements

Active pursuit of professional, career-oriented Information Security activities (e.g. pursuing a bachelors in Information Security, acquiring relevant certifications)
Highly organized and willing to learn end-to-end process improvement skills
Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures
Familiarity with standard command line tools and low-level operating system fundamentals.
Knowledge of basic tools for security assessment
Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.

Responsibilities

Assist in product assessment duties in line with product team schedule and needs
Review current and past assessment results to assist in drafting remediation solutions
Perform advisory and implementation of DevSecOps activities
