About The Position

We are currently seeking a Product Research & Strategy Analyst to research products and suppliers to identify product additions and merchandising changes that support our product strategy. This analyst will work alongside other teammates and have no direct reports. This role is based out of our Elmhurst, Illinois location, with limited travel required by occasional visits to trade shows and/or suppliers.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree and technical proficiency in Microsoft Suite is required.
• Strong candidates should possess strong critical thinking and basic project management skills, along with research ability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with or interest in learning about products, including understanding how they work and their mechanical details.
• Technical skills demonstrating an interest in the physical world (e.g. machining, 3D printing, woodworking, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Conducting product research, including leading supplier conversations
• Making product addition recommendations tied to our customers and product strategy
• Describing the product specifications and benefits that support product additions
