About The Position

As a Commercial Product Purchaser for TVH’s global electrical components product range, you play a key role in developing and strengthening our portfolio of suppliers and electrical products used in material handling, industrial vehicles, and construction & agricultural machinery. These products are switches, buttons & parts, sensors, relays, contact & contactors and dashboard controls. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES You’ll deliver short and long-term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve: Product Sourcing & Supplier relationship management You take ownership of the components portfolio within the Product & Procurement team. By conducting market research, analyzing competitor offerings, visiting trade shows, and leveraging TVH’s global supplier network, you identify opportunities to expand and optimize the electrical components assortment. You prepare and develop negotiation strategies, connecting with our suppliers to ensure a reducing effect on our purchase cost evolution. You proactively scout new suppliers and products, review current suppliers ranges and, negotiate technical specifications, pricing, and quality conditions to enhance our market position and reduce purchase costs. Procurement Support & Availability You will be the escalation point of our procurement advisor to ensure that products within your portfolio meet the required standards for quality, availability, and on-time delivery. When availability, price, or quality come under pressure, you react quickly, identify the root cause, and ensure smooth resolution to safeguard the customer experience. Quality & Supplier Management In collaboration with the Quality team, you monitor and evaluate supplier performance. Where necessary, you take constructive action toward suppliers to ensure the best possible outcome for our customers. Data-Driven Performance Monitoring You use your analytical skills to track KPIs such as product availability, cost developments, and supplier performance. You proactively intervene when performance indicators show risk and maintain a structured, solution-oriented approach. You have autonomy to make decisions within your product range and can rely on a supportive and experienced team to collaborate on effective action plans.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience as a Product Purchaser or in a similar field (Example: Product Development and Buying)
  • Technical experience/knowledge
  • Experience with managing supplier relationships
  • High level of autonomy and self-ownership with a strong interest in technical or commercial product sourcing and negotiation technics.
  • International mindset, working in a global team
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation- and communication skills.
  • Ability to build solid relationships and collaborate smoothly with various stakeholders.
  • Being able to handle priorities, managing time and efficiency wisely
  • Comfortable analyzing data and translating insights into action.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
