About The Position

We are seeking an Electrical Component Engineer to support a large, high-tech client. In this role, you will be responsible for second-sourcing electrical components for data center equipment, helping to ensure continuity of supply, mitigate risk, and maintain product availability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing functions
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Design, or PCBA Design, or Component Engineering
• Excellent oral and written communication skills along with proficiency in Excel
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Proactive and self driven

Nice To Haves

• Electrical or Electronics Engineering degree
• Experience of working with Networking Equipment, Switches, Routers
• Program Management Experience
• Experience in working with PLM Systems - Oracle Agile/PTC Windchill/Siemens Teamcenter

Responsibilities

• Analyse PCB Assembly BOM to identify electrical components(Eg. Resistors, Capacitors, Inductors, FETs etc) with single sources
• Read component specifications sheets / data sheets and identify second sources
• Perform Form Fit & Functional Compatibility analysis for identified second sources and make recommendations for qualification
• Coordinate with design engineers to manage for end to end qualification of identified source
• Coordinate with PLM team for new part creations and AML updates in Agile PLM
