Supplier Reliability Engineer (Electronics Components)
About The Position
Provide guidance on the selection of electronic component for upcoming designs to ensure they meet our vehicle mission and reliability targets. Communicate Reliability requirements, targets, and test plans with electronic component vendors. Coordinate root cause process with engineering teams and component suppliers. Level of role depends on experience and Qualifications. In addition, a strong technical background, interest in reliability and experience in the following areas: - Experience with electrical systems and schematics Knowledge of PCBA troubleshooting techniques - Physics of failure knowledge for low voltage passive and active electrical components and PCBAs - Familiarity with failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, X-ray, CT, FTIR, SEM, EDS.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of electronics reliability.
- Degree education in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical (or similar).
- Over 5 years of experience within the automotive or consumer electronics industry, working within the EE domain.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity.
- Experience with electrical systems and schematics
- Knowledge of PCBA troubleshooting techniques
- Physics of failure knowledge for low voltage passive and active electrical components and PCBAs
- Familiarity with failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, X-ray, CT, FTIR, SEM, EDS.
