Product Marketing

ValderaSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

We’re hiring a Product Marketing Manager to be Valdera’s first dedicated marketing hire. You’ll drive how we position and sell our product to the market, shaping the narrative, enabling the sales team, and making sure our messaging resonates. As our first marketing hire, this role goes well beyond traditional product marketing role. You’ll be the person who builds our positioning and competitive strategy, but you’ll also roll up your sleeves on content, events, and demand generation. Some weeks you’ll be refining a pitch deck and drafting new social posts; other weeks you’ll be coordinating a conference booth or writing a blog post. That’s the nature of being the first marketer at a startup, and we’re looking for someone who’s energized by that breadth. You’ll report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with sales leadership and the product team. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where your work will have a direct line to revenue and company growth.

  • Strong strategic thinker; able to build a marketing strategy framework from the ground up and execute on it
  • Excellent writing skills with experience producing sales collateral, website content, and/or customer-facing messaging
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to context-switch between strategic and tactical work throughout the day
  • Experience managing event logistics and owning them end to end and willingness to travel to attend conferences and events as needed
  • You thrive in ambiguity and are excited by the idea of being the first hire to build the function
