About The Position

As a Product Manager at Rockwell Automation's Sprecher + Schuh Business, you will be a member of the portfolio team responsible for managing a portfolio of industrial components including Logic, electronic, and signaling solutions. You will report to the General Manager of the business. You will be responsible for planning, maintaining profitability, determining customer requirements, and technical resolutions while launching products and creating commercial messaging for assigned products. We are looking for experience managing multiple projects and customer requests while communicating to all internal and external customers. You will work with sales, end customers, channel partners, and business leadership to achieve portfolio revenue and market share growth goals to create a strategy and product roadmap. You will work Hybrid at Houston, TX office location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 10% of time.
  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience with product marketing and a close familiarity with the tasks of product development, production, application, sales, and distribution.

  • Previous experience with control system design, control cabinet/panel design, and implementation and commissioning of industrial control equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve yearly revenue and profit margin goals for the responsible portfolio.
  • Develop marketing messages for customer presentations, trade shows, and seminars.
  • Lead the development of commercial collateral for new product launches.
  • Motivate and train the global sales channel to promote and sell the responsible portfolio.
  • Manage the product life cycle for the responsible portfolio.
  • Lead voice of customer activities for next-generation solutions.
  • Define new product requirements for next-generation solutions.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to define and verify new product requirements.
  • Help with customer support and issue resolution.
  • Analyze competitive products and develop comparisons.
  • Participate in cross department projects to enhance technical understanding and influence evolution of products and solutions.
  • Provide unit volume and financial forecast to manufacturing and accounting.
  • Keep current on industry trends, changing market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive products related to the responsible portfolio.
  • Assist Field Sales Management in development and implementation of closing strategies for key prospects.
  • Make calls with sales force on key accounts.
  • Under the direction of the General Manager negotiate with vendors of external brand label products as necessary to coordinate and support the sales third party products by the Sprecher Sales force. This includes evaluating suppliers, negotiate pricing, and implement programs for brand label agreements.
  • Interface with Rockwell product marketing to develop high quality product information, implement product updates, solve product problems, and develop new product line extensions.
  • Approve special pricing for NPA/NPR’s forwarded by the Negotiated Price Agreement Administrator with regards to assigned products.
  • Assist sales force in negotiating special prices and terms for customers.
  • Assist engineering with product and technical issues when needed.
