About The Position

To achieve an organization’s mission, leaders need strong team members who can create and analyze processes, communicate requirements, and develop innovative solutions throughout the execution of the mission. This role requires an experienced AI/ML Product Manager who can act as the connective tissue between vision and execution, working directly with the product leader on vision and strategy and partnering with researchers and designers. The consultant will combine deep technical understanding of software engineering with strong architectural judgment. As part of the team, you will serve as a strategic technical advisor to help conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs aimed at accelerating better health outcomes. This involves working with scientists and engineers to develop high-impact solutions, providing strategic assessments of new technologies to senior ARPA-H decision makers, and presenting findings and recommendations on the feasibility and impact of future research programs. You will also assist with current program management and facilitate the commercialization of successful technologies. As a Senior Product Manager, you will help clients develop stakeholder management strategies, establish new business processes, and conduct research and analysis for viable solutions. Your core responsibility is to take the product vision and make it a reality by ruthlessly prioritizing, unblocking the team, thinking ahead, and shipping valuable features efficiently.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management across both startup and large-scale technology environments
  • Experience shipping high-impact products in fast-paced and resource-constrained settings
  • Experience in interacting and communicating with senior-level executives
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of agile methodology, with experience directly running sprints and cross-functional processes
  • Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI product design, enabling informed product decision-making
  • Ability to demonstrate technical fluency, capable of understanding software architecture and engaging in detailed discussions with engineers
  • Ability to operate independently within fast-paced start-up environment with an analytical and user-centric mindset, leveraging data and feedback to guide prioritization focused on outcomes and impact rather than process
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing LLM-powered or agentic AI products in production
  • Experience with high-growth startup environments and owning multiple roles and outcomes
  • Experience with federal, healthcare, or life sciences sectors
  • Experience overseeing QA or testing in environments without a dedicated QA function
  • Knowledge of MCP, A2A, RAG, tool-calling, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks
  • Ability to build or manage product analytics infrastructure
  • Ability to produce clear and actionable product stories and specs
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
