About The Position

Research Reagents Portfolio is a critical driver of the US Region Research Solutions business. As a Product Manager, you will have an opportunity to drive & grow the Research Reagents business. You will work closely with the Global Marketing team, Commercial US Marketing Team, and Platform Marketing Team, and the US Research Solutions Portfolio team & Distributor Portfolio Manager & e-commerce leader to drive omnichannel strategy & portfolio success within BDB US Region. You will be responsible for strategic demand generation and sales enablement for the research reagent portfolio. In this role you will lead the execution of exciting new dyes launches together with other cutting technologies that help drive new discoveries to while managing product lifecycle to ensure best-in-class customer experience. Requirements

  • BS or MS in Immunology or another equivalent required; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of business experience, with a minimum of 3 years in technical sales or support role required
  • Business experience may include marketing, sales, or support.
  • Experience in execution of marketing plans that deliver achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies.
  • Create promotional materials and sales tools.
  • Proven track record to work independently across the matrix, within teams, and independently and have strong entrepreneurial approach.
  • Effective interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication; demonstrated abilities in organization, prioritization and planning, goal setting, analytical and problem-solving.
  • Results-oriented, with demonstrated ability to multi-task; capable of managing and driving the completion of multiple competing projects
  • Creative & entrepreneurial approach and high level of ownership business insight to develop strategies that lead to portfolio success .
  • Must be able to travel ~25%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in development successful campaigns, and co-marketing activities with distribution partners is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully launches products; develops strategies, tactics, and training plans for the Customer Service organization, Applications, and Sales teams.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Distributor Channel Manager & e- commerce team to demonstrate the channel to drive & expand research reagents business.
  • Partners with downstream marketing to create communication programs including advertising, PR, direct mail, product literature, sales tools, BD internet sites, etc., in alignment with branding strategy.
  • Participate in sales training presentations at national sales meetings.
  • Participate in distributor channel sales training.
  • Assist in commercial marketing activities including the development of marketing content and customer presentations.
  • Engage in various digital marketing activities including web content development, webinar execution, and lead generation management.
  • Ensures all the portfolio relevant materials are available and uploaded in showpad for sales access.
  • Provides marketing and/or technical support at conferences, users meetings, customer sites, end-user workshops, and other specific marketing events.
  • Partners with channel management & e-business leader to drive omnichannel strategies & ensure Commercial Marketing to ensure integrated messaging and roll out to the field.
  • Leads all tactical aspects of US marketing plans to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies; creates strategic marketing plans and drives tactical marketing initiatives.
  • Works closely with the Sales team to effectively implement marketing strategies and drive tactical plans to attain/exceed sales and category share objectives.
  • Lead & direct the sales requests with reference to portfolio to help requests through internal business processes to ensure customer needs are met with agility.
  • Leads demand planning in collaboration with the sales team to ensure key customer requirements are communicated to the global platform team
  • Provide portfolio monthly portfolio performance reports to marketing leadership with insights
  • Creates and implements pricing strategies, market analysis, promotional programs, market research requirements, and channel strategies.
  • Incorporates "protocols" in all aspects of the marketing function.
  • Collaborates with other Research Solutions product marketers to develop “research solutions” workflow messaging to present one BD solution.
  • Ensures compliance with BD policies, procedures, and practices, including serving as point-person in the marketing communication copy approval process.
