About The Position

As the Product Manager for our OEM Solutions Division you will assist in the planning and implementation of projects that support the construction portfolio of products. This role supports the orchestration of all organizational elements in order to achieve total product success as measured from execution through to long-term OEM strategic roadmaps, revenue growth, market position, and profitability. This position requires active involvement in many facets of the product management and marketing process, including understanding of OEM strategy and requirements within the division and with our extended organizational partners, development of long-term OEM strategic roadmaps, working closely with the field systems product managers, multiple development teams, product parts management, product releases, product training, and product pricing. A product manager you must be proficient in the portfolio of Trimble solutions pertaining to our perpetual and subscription-based product offerings for on and off machine and site management solutions, as well as extended subscription-based offerings (Trimble Construction One) for the development of long-term strategic roadmaps and integration with OEM partners. You will analyze and help develop pricing models, processes, educational tools, interact with OEM personnel across a range of departments, collaborate closely with the product group, operations, and application engineering, as well as the OEM Business Development team regularly. Travel will be required up to 30% of the time (both locally and globally). Other key tasks are: Actively manage and maintain the OEM long-term strategic roadmap and development backlog and advocate items in the roadmap to Trimble Engineering organizations Assist System Engineering, Application Engineering, and Project Management in analyzing and creating hardware and kitting solutions to address new machines released by OEMs Act as the primary reviewer of OEM-related product documentation such as data sheets and machine-specific installation manuals in collaboration with OEM counterparts Provide OEM program overview reviews to Trimble Global Services (GS) on OEM-specific product/system developments Participate in reviews and generating responses to OEM Requests for Proposal and quotes (RFPs / RFQs) Assist in coordinating and participating in demonstrations, trade and industry events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a construction earthworks, underground utilities company, construction land surveying, earthmoving equipment manufacturer (OEM) and/or distributor, and closely involved with the use of advanced positioning and guidance technology and software to improve the efficiency of construction projects and workflows.
  • Knowledge and experience with mobile application development models, go-to-market strategies, and eCommerce
  • Excellent relationship builder, multitasker, and communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Unrelenting attention to detail, personal responsibility, high level of energy, self-motivation
  • Willingness to be a change agent and constantly challenge conventional wisdom
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in an office environment and in outdoor environments such as on construction sites, paving projects, landfills, and mining operations.
