About The Position

ELLKAY is seeking a Product Manager to drive the design and delivery of an orchestration and automation layer that enables delivery teams and customers to build powerful, automated workflows for data interfacing, validating, integrating, aggregating and delivering. Reporting to the Director of Product Management LKOpera, this role focuses on enabling configuration‑driven and AI‑assisted workflow automation across healthcare interoperability use cases. You will bring modern automation patterns from industries beyond healthcare—such as iPaaS, workflow orchestration, and API automation—to accelerate how interfaces, integrations, and data-driven workflows are identified, configured, tested, and deployed. This role is ideal for a product manager who blends strong technical fluency with healthcare customer empathy and who is excited to apply orchestration, containers, and agentic AI concepts to complex, real-world problems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with platform, infrastructure, or developer-adjacent products
  • Experience building or managing workflow orchestration, automation, or iPaaS-style products
  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, event-driven architectures, containers and Kubernetes-based environments, message buses and integration patterns
  • Experience applying AI or agentic AI concepts to automation, decisioning, or workflow optimization
  • Ability to design a business case
  • Ability to write detailed requirements and collaborate deeply with Engineering teams
  • Comfort working with healthcare data and translating non-healthcare best practices into healthcare environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, MuleSoft, or similar.
  • Exposure to healthcare data and exchange concepts (HL7, FHIR, CCDs)
  • Experience designing low-code or no-code configurations
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native delivery models
  • A strong point of view on how automation and AI can reduce integration friction
  • Demonstrated ability to bring modern orchestration concepts into regulated or complex domains
  • Experience enabling non-developers to build reliable, production-grade workflows
  • Curiosity, pragmatism, and comfort operating at the intersection of product, engineering, and customers

Responsibilities

  • Understand ELLKAY’s platforms, customer workflows, and delivery model
  • Identify high-value automation and orchestration opportunities where configuration or AI can replace manual or developer-driven effort
  • Own the product roadmap for orchestration, automation, and workflow capabilities that translate customer and delivery team needs into intuitive, configuration-driven experiences
  • Partner with Engineering on architectural decisions involving containers, Kubernetes, message buses, and workflow engines to ensure orchestration features integrate cleanly with ELLKAY’s interface engine and API ecosystem
  • Define success metrics around time-to-integration, deployment velocity, error reduction, and customer adoption
  • Act as a bridge between modern automation paradigms and healthcare interoperability realities to influence ELLKAY’s long-term automation and AI roadmap to expand orchestration capabilities to support increasingly complex, cross-system workflows as a core platform differentiator
  • Work with a team of Product Owners to drive automation into the roadmaps
