Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace. Build the Intelligence Layer for Enterprise AI Agents: Lead development of Agent Intelligence – the decisioning system that enables AI agents to take optimal actions based on business context, user intent, and predicted outcomes. Transform reactive support into proactive, value-driving interactions at scale. Solve Complex Challenges: Balance competing stakeholder needs – end users expecting helpful recommendations, operations teams requiring control and explainability, and developers needing flexible decisioning frameworks. Pioneer Agent Decisioning Architecture: Define how AI agents should decide what actions to take – from real-time next-best-action selection to long-term outcome optimization. Tackle novel problems including contextual decisioning, multi-objective optimization, and interpretable AI reasoning. Collaborate: Partner with engineering on decisioning systems, ML teams on predictive models and reinforcement learning, and data teams on analytics and experimentation frameworks. Advise: Become trusted and strategic advisor to our customers, in partnership with our sales, go-to-market, and forward-deployed teams. End-to-End Ownership: Lead the product through all stages from concept to excellent execution, in close collaboration with cross-functional partners.
